Trade31 is an elite team of precision builders dedicated to preserving a 90 year legacy of quality.

Its story begins in 1931, in the midst of the Great Depression. Founder Richard J. Huseman took his tenacity and drive for excellence and created HGC Construction. With his obsession for quality workmanship, Huseman grew the company through the 1940s and 50s. In the decades that follow, the company built upon its reputation for outstanding workmanship and integrity.
The 2000s brought exponential growth and with it the need for HGC to form a Group of Companies with specialized firms: Stanton Millworks, Structural Systems Repair Group (SSRG), and Stewart Iron Works. In 2021 the Group celebrated its long-standing tradition of employing its own labor forces by creating Trade31, a new name for its superior self-perform workforce.
Trade31 is proud to be a Huseman Group company, a leader in construction services.

Our crews have worked with some of the region’s highest-profile clients, including University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, Miami University, The Kinley Cincinnati, The Seven Hills School, Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, and more. Our self-perform abilities and trade work knowledge translates into exceptionally well managed, properly executed projects for our clients.
